Natrum Muriaticum

Natrum Muriaticum is also known as Sodium Chloride. It is one of the most important tissue salts that our body needs and utilizes and is considered the Water Controller.

When we look at it from a large scope, Nat Mur is nothing more then salt. Salt is the second most common substance on earth with water in First place. Looking deeper however at Natrum Muriaticum we see that salt is important for regulating the balance of body fluids and is a part of both body fluids and tissues. We also know that too much salt can inhibit absorption of nutrients and can lead to being at the root cause of malabsorption. We also know that to much salt can weaken the Nervous System and lead to artery constriction and hypertension.

Nat Mur is the operating agent for our metabolism and is considered both hydrating and de-hydrating to the connective tissue. It is a temperature regulator, binder of mucous, mucous membranes builder and is in charge of the metabolism of tendons, ligaments, cartilage, discs and eyes. Using Nat Mur on symptoms such as a runny nose and you will see a quick result but a slower result on things such as joints or cartilage problems as they will take a much longer time to heal at a deeper level.

Facial signs that I look for include;

Nasal Labial Folds, enlarged pores and puffy cheeks/face are three of the most well known indicators of a Natrum Muriaticum deficiency.  I would also look for Gelatine shine on the upper or lower eye lid, dandruff along hair line, chipmunk cheeks (water retention and does not always have to be large cheeks, can be slight).
